2014 Review
The past year has been a good one I can only wish to have another one like it!!
Bolero -  Was the winner of the Drunken Night s commission, it has since been performed in London, Leeds, Manchester and York.
HairStory -  The project began in January 2014! It was awarded the Dance and the Homemade commission from Chisenhale Dance Space, was supported by Right Up Our Street for the DNweekeND and showcased at Light Night Leeds supported by the SHINE emerging artists programme from Leeds City Council.
SLAP -  Started the year by hosting and international movement artist competition, creating an interactive performance juke box and curating performance interventions for Galtres Festival. SLAP was then awarded Arts Council Funding in September to host 4 more events. These included a solo performance platform, an artists creative sleepover, a performance intervention film project and a live arts and creative industries forum.
70/30 Split -  Led the GIFTed programme at the GIFT festival to create a performance on a group of participants to launch the festival in just 6 hours! Were one of the featured artists for GOlive extended and received rave reviews , undertook a creative residency in Bassano Del Grappa during the B Motion festival and shared their research for WHICH  as part of Thinking Dance. And in big news were highlighted of one of the top 5 most exciting moments in dance in the Guardian!
To top all of that at the end of the year I became one of the artists in residence at Conway Hall to begin work on a new performance, I was also the winner of two creative briefs on IdeasTap I had the great honour to perform in a work with Ann Liv Young for Gay Shame and Lesbian Weakness and to be selected as one of the performers in the Dancing Bear to tour in 2016!
Heres looking towards 2015 and all it might bring!!!
