To launch the newly independent Transform, the festival has commissioned Chris Goode & Company (creators of ‘9’, Transform 12) to make a brand new show. Starting with a totally blank canvas where anything could happen, they’ve divided the show into three-minute segments and have been working with a diverse range of individuals, families, community groups and local organisations from across Leeds – each of whom has been asked the question: “what do you most want to see on stage?”. Maybe they’ll want to fill the stage with balloons or majorettes. Maybe they’ll want three minutes of slapstick or ballet or bunny racing. Maybe it’ll be stand-up, or a political speech, or just a little oasis of silence.
Whatever they want, it’ll end up in WANTED.
